After service, I was pleasantly surprised to be invited
to one of a church member's house for tea. Here's Bart
at the door of the church & his two children who gladly
posed for the picture.
It was nice having fellowship with the family, Bart's 2nd
son was really chatty and we talked about school and
fun things to do in holland. Rachel couldnt speak english
but she did her own fashion parade for us by wearing her dad's
clothes and being so thrilled by it. We had some snacks in the
living room, the almond cake was very sweet and i enjoyed it alot!
Bart's wife Miriam and their 1 year old daughter Tamar.
She's really active for a toddler, tried communicating
with me using babytalk but i didnt understand much =)
Now that the fire's really starting to get heated up, it makes
the place warm and cosy - talk about a lazy sunday afternoon!
Perfect to sit around and have a nice chat. I learnt more about
travelling around in europe, they gave me directions to the cheapest
supermarkets and it was a joy spending time with their family.
Connecting the living room to the dining room is this
lounge/playarea. Can you spot the playpen and the really
long dining table?
The garden's really big, learnt from Bart that this is
an exception because the nearer you get to the city
centre, the smaller the land area becomes. (Its a
blessing to live so near the city and yet have such
a large plot of land)
Anyone keen on an al fresco dining experience?
Heres the open ceiling (glass ceiling) that we
don't see often in holland(and in singapore).
Makes the place look much brighter and even
more spacious.
Well, i thank God for their hospitality and warmth, its
truely a blessing to have fellowship and friends even in a
foreign land =)
