The Neighbourhood Potluck Dinner

We planned a week in advance to have a potluck dinner
with our neighbours from e Hong Kong University of
Science & Technology, well actually they were the ones who
invited us =)

Guowei and I played host and we opened our room for
the potluck dinner. We started cooking around 7 and we
were all ready for dinner by 7.30, however we soon realised
that there weren't enough chairs and tables for everyone...

You can see the feast(this wasnt even the full menu!)
They cooked veggy & pork rib soup, chinese-style vegetables,
a steamed fish (power!), soy sauce chicken drumlets and
rice. We (the singaporeans) came up with mash potato salad,
pasta topped with beef goulash, spaghetti bolognaise and
a whole roast chicken (haha this one cheat a little, jay bought it
from the supermarket)

*check out the chopsticks haha they brought them all
the way from Hong Kong!

Here the other singapore gang from NUS joined us,
so that made a total of 6 HK, 8 NTU(we own man!) &
3 NUS students. imagine 17 pple squeezing together in
one room, with 3 tables to put all our food and 2beds +
4 chairs + one drawer as our seats. It was noisy, crowded,
but a whole lot of fun as we chatted and swapped stories.

Glad to have friendly neighbours and we're gonna play
daidee one of these days(yeah they have that in HK too,
amazing haha) I also introduced them to L4D and they were
trying it out on my laptop.. they're gonna kope it from me
to install on their on coms. All the HK students are taking
accountancy too, except for one business & finance student.
They're 21 yrs old, so that makes us 2 years older cos of army.

I guess one good thing about this exchange is that we get to meet
so many people from different cultures/countries and still manage
to connect thru things as common as food & games & fun. Will intro
all of you to our other neighbours some day haha
