The Bonnefanten Museum

We visited the Bonnefanten Museum yesterday, it was only a
short distance away by bike. The museum is free for university
students so we didnt have to pay anything.

A view from the bridge outside the museum, here you can see
the egg-shaped dome which is one of the most commonly
photographed shots found on google =)

Jesus washing the feet of his disciples - this is a carpet from
the dunno-what century, but still in very good condition.
Photographs are allowed in the museum, but flash
photography and video-taking is prohibited.

Anyone can guess what this stone carving is? well its actually
the feast of King Herod and for the main course that's John the
baptist's head on the platter..

"The adoration of the magi" - the 3 wise men paying tribute
to baby Jesus. One common feature of the paintings and sculptures
here is that they are mostly biblical - from the birth, life and death
of Jesus to parables (prodigal son) and creation (adam and eve,
the great flood, tower of babel). It was an eye-opener for me
and also a great opportunity to share with my friends the stories
behind the paintings, so i thank God for this chance to just be the
"curator"/guide and walkthrough each of the paintings with them.
